Image Data Extraction

Image data extraction is the process of converting visual information from photographs, microscopy, or other biological images into structured, measurable data. It typically uses preprocessing to reduce noise, segmentation to separate cells or tissues from their background, and feature extraction to quantify properties such as intensity, area, shape, and spatial distribution. These measurements support cell counting, phenotyping, tissue characterization, and analysis of changes across experimental conditions, while automated workflows can improve consistency and enable large-scale, objective analysis of biological images.

This paper describes a method for collecting and analyzing electroencephalography (EEG) data during concurrent transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) guided by activations revealed with functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI). A method for TMS artifact removal and extraction of event related potentials is described as well as considerations in paradigm design and experimental setup.

Extraction Extraction is a common technique used in organic chemistry to isolate a target compound. In the extraction process, a solute is transferred from one phase to another to separate it from unreacted starting materials or impurities. Extraction is also used to facilitate the isolation of a solute from a reaction solvent that is difficult to remove by evaporation, such as a solvent with a high boiling point. Generally, there are three types of extractions. First, in solid-liquid...
