在100 V电压下进行凝胶电泳，运行30分钟。
将凝胶托盘从电泳槽中取出，滑出凝胶并从托盘上剥离，将凝胶放入染色托盘中。
将凝胶浸入购入的DNA凝胶染料中染色5分钟，并轻轻振荡托盘以使染料均匀分布。
将凝胶转移至漂洗容器中，用自来水（40–55 °C）漂洗约10秒。
用温自来水漂洗3次，每次6分钟，轻轻振荡以获得最佳脱色效果。如有必要，可继续在温水中脱色，直至达到理想的对比度。
