Kinney1,3, Joon-Hee Han2, Sang-Hyuck Park3 1Department of Chemistry, Colorado State University-Pueblo, 2Chuncheon Bioindustry Foundation, 3Institute for Cannabis Research, Colorado State University-Pueblo Ultrasonic-assisted extraction (UAE) increases extraction efficiency of solvents and when applied to Cannabis spp. biomass it reduces the time required for extraction. This decreases the cost and potential cannabinoid loss due to degradation. Additionally, UAE is considered a green method due to low solvent use.
