Abstract
Den snabbhet och noggrannhet för objektigenkänning äventyras av en förändring i perspektiv, som visar att mänskliga bedömare är känsliga för denna omvandling. Här diskuterar vi en ny metod för att simulera utseendet på ett objekt som har genomgått en rotation på djupet, och innehålla en redogörelse för skillnaderna mellan perspektiv och ortografiska projektioner. Nästa beskriver vi en metod med vilken mänsklig känslighet för rotationsdjup kan mätas. Slutligen diskuterar vi en anordning för att skapa en levande percept av en 3-dimensionell rotation på djupet; Wheatstone Eight Spegelstereoscope. Genom att göra så, avslöjar vi ett sätt för att utvärdera rollen av stereoskopiska signaler i diskriminering av synpunkt roteras former och föremål.
