BIOGRAPHY
Raquel Ruiz Rodriguez is the Operations Manager for the PK/PD Discovery and Development Platforms and acts as Deputy Study Director at Oryzon Genomics, Barcelona, Spain. She received her diploma BTEC Higher National Diploma (HND) as Senior Technician in Clinical Diagnostics Laboratory from High School Bonanova, Barcelona, Spain, with excellent qualifications.
During her training she started to work as a responsible technician for drug manufacturing process and quality control for antiretroviral drugs at Novartis Farmacéutica, S.A., Barcelona, Spain. Later on upon joining Oryzon Genomics, she developed a keen focus in immunoassays and other molecular biology technologies, such as Biopanning and production of monoclonal antibodies.
During her more than ten years career at Oryzon Genomics, Raquel Ruiz has actively participated in many successful projects and has been involved in the development and execution of tools for detection of oncological and neurodegenerative disease biomarkers. In the field of clinical studies, she has both research and management duties and has contributed to the characterization of compounds which are being currently tested in several pharmacological clinical phase I/II trials.
