Here we provide an easy, efficient and rapid protocol to isolate B and T lymphocytes from human palatine tonsils. The method described has been specifically adapted for studies of the viral etiology of tonsil inflammation known as tonsillitis.

A Survey of Seasonal Infestation with Przhevalskiana Larvae in Slaughtered Goats and Sheep in South-Western Iran Pakistan Journal of Biological Sciences : PJBS. Nov, 2007 | Pubmed ID: 19090259 In this research slaughtered sheep and goats were investigated during August 2003-July 2004 at a slaughterhouse in Masjed-Soleyman, South-Western Iran. The number of infested animals with Przhevalskiana larvae and their age and sex was recorded. Collected larvae from infested animals were stored in Alcohol-Glycerin solution and were studied to determine their morphological properties and species. The data was analyzed by the chi-square test. Immune Responses to Oral and IM Administration of M2e-Hsp70 Construct Veterinary Research Communications. Jun, 2014 | Pubmed ID: 24595641 The eukaryotic expression plasmid of M2e-Hsp70 is a candidate M2e-based DNA vaccine. In order to evaluate the immunization potential of this construct, Specific Pathogen Free chickens were immunized either intramuscularly or orally. Mutant Salmonella typhimurium was used as carrier for oral delivery of the M2e-Hsp70 construct. M2e-specific humoral and cellular responses were tested by ELISA and Lymphocyte Proliferation Assay, respectively. Our results indicate that both humoral and cellular immune responses are conferred against M2e-Hsp70 plasmid in either of the intramuscular or oral routes of administration; however, these responses are significantly higher in intramuscular injection in contrast to oral administration. When it comes to mass vaccination of commercial chicken flocks oral administration is preferred due to the ease of application as well as its capability of eliciting mucosal, humoral and cellular immune responses; so measurements should be taken to improve the immunization potency of our orally delivered DNA vaccine.
