Johnathan Canton

Johnathan Canton is an assistant professor in the Department of Comparative Biology and Experimental Medicine at the University of Calgary. He received a BSc and PhD in cell biology from the University of Florida in Gainesville.

Dr. Canton is interested in understanding how immune cells incorporate complex cues to drive distinct immune responses. He is particularly interested in "imaging immunity" at the level of individual cells. He therefore works to develop tools that allow us to see how immune cells sample, digest, and extract complex environmental cues.
