From 2016-2018 he was part of the EU Horizon 2020 project ACCOMPLISSH at Ghent University, which investigated co-creation between researchers and societal stakeholders as a means of increasing the impact of research within the Social Sciences and Humanities. Currently he is a PhD candidate at Maastricht University on the NWO vidi project “When the good gets bad…and sticks! Understanding and challenging (the spreading of) pain-related avoidance behavior” supervised by Dr. Ann Meulders.
