Laurent Jacob is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Institut du Cerveau et de la Moelle épinière ICM, in Paris.

During is PhD training in Strasbourg, in the BAGNARD team, he did the preclinical demonstration of the anti-angiogenic and anti-tumoral properties of transmembrane peptides targeting the Neuropilin-1 /Plexin-A1 complex in glioblastoma. He also developed some methods for identifying personalized therapeutic strategies for patients with brain tumors.

Then he moved to the Thomas' lab at the ICM, where he studied the VEGF-C/VEGFR3 signaling in adult mouse neurogenesis, focusing on the hippocampus and the olfactory bulb neurogenesis.

After he discovered the spinal lymphatic drainage and its in vivo implication in neuroinflammatory diseases of the spinal cord. For this, he modified the iDISCO clarification technique and combined it with Light-Sheet Fluorescence Microscopy for 3D-imaging of the vertebral column lymphatic system in mouse.
