Maria Virginia Giolito

Virginia is a pharmacist who graduated from Rosario National University (Argentina). She also did a Master in Biotechnology at the same University where she worked in triple-negative breast cancer, studying the role of penicillin derivatives as a potential new treatment. During her PhD, she is evaluating the role of thyroid hormones and their receptor TRa1 in the biology of colorectal cancer stem cells and the relation of these hormones in resistance to chemotherapy.
