Natalie Yoshioka
Graduate Student

Natalie received her BA in Biology and Visual Arts at UMBC, and earned a MS in Biomedical Visualization at UIC shortly before enrolling in the Anatomy PhD Graduate Program at Penn State COM. In her previous training, she learned to convey complicated scientific concepts with illustrations, animations, and interactive media. For her Master's thesis, she explored how temporal visualization of body cavity partitioning during embryology can be taught to future health care professionals using an interactive timeline. She is currently working as a graduate student in Dr. Kamal’s lab, exploring the developmental effects of the PTH1R signaling pathway on regulation of the embryonic and postnatal growth plate.
