Professor

Dr. Qingsheng Li is a full professor at the School of Biological Sciences and the Nebraska Center for Virology in University of Nebraska-Lincoln, USA. He is a member of American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS), American Associate of Immunologists (AAI), International Society for Vaccines (ISV) and American Society for Virology (ASV). Dr. Li also services as the editorial board member of Current HIV Research, Scientific Report and Virology Journal. He has over 25 years of experience in studying HIV-1 transmission, pathogenesis, microbicide, and vaccine and curative strategy development. Dr. Li’s technical expertise includes the use of SIV-rhesus macaque model, human specimens, humanized-BLT (bone marrow liver and thymus) mouse model, and single-cell in situ analyses. Dr. Li has published 87 peer-reviewed papers, including one paper in Science and two papers in Nature and three papers in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS). Further, Dr. Li is the principal investigator or co-investigator on many NIH funded grants, including P01, U19, Martin Delaney, R01 and R21 grants. Additionally, Dr. Li has mentored and trained many graduate students and post-doctoral fellows.
