Rony NEHME Biophysics Creoptix AG Biography Publications Institution JoVE Articles Rony NEHMEApplication Scientist Rony Nehmé is an Application Scientist at Creoptix AG, Wädenswil, Switzerland. He received his MSc in Microbiology from the University of Rouen, France and a Ph.D in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Nice, France.During Dr. Nehmé’s training, he developed a keen focus on membrane protein research with a specialisation in G-protein coupled receptors (GPCRs). As a post-doctoral investigator scientist (2010 to 2017) in Chris Tate’s lab at the MRC - Laboratory of Molecular Biology, Cambridge, UK, he studied the expression, purification, characterisation and pharmacology of many GPCRs. The engineering of the G-proteins that he developed, helped solving the cryo-EM structure of the serotonin receptor 5HT1B bound to the Go heterotrimer.
