Xin Lin is an Associate Professor in the State Key Laboratory of High Temperature Gas Dynamics, Institute of Mechanics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. He received Ph.D. form Beijing Institute of Technology in 2014.
His research mainly focuses on the study of hyrbid rocket engine, with a special strength in the development and application of advanced optical diagnostics. The optical method includes optical emission spectroscopy, laser absorption spectroscopy, and chemiluminescence. Another research direction focuses on studying the physical and chemical processes that occur during the probe's entry into the Martian atmosphere.
