Cet article décrit les techniques pour réaliser l'imagerie haute résolution par résonance magnétique fonctionnelle avec 1,2 mm d'échantillonnage dans le mésencéphale humain et structures sous-corticales à l'aide d'un scanner 3T. L'utilisation de ces techniques pour résoudre les cartes topographiques de la stimulation visuelle chez l'homme colliculus supérieur (CS) est donnée à titre d'exemple.
