Aflah received her bachelor’s degree in molecular biology from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) in 2017 before continuing her graduate studies at PSU. Here, her thesis work focuses on studying how the Polycomb Repressive Complex 1 (PRC1) regulates cellular development using both mouse embryonic stem cells (ESCs) and mice as study models.
