Patrick Thomas

Dr Patrick Thomas is a Research Fellow with 11 years’ experience in oncology and translational research. Following the completion of his PhD in cancer genomics in 2018, he was appointed as a Research Fellow in the Queensland Bladder Cancer Initiative. Here, he leads programs investigating bladder cancer and immuno-oncology to develop patient-personalised models for precision cancer therapies. He has published numerous scientific articles and attracted funding for urological cancer research. Dr Thomas has been awarded 12 national and international awards for research excellence and additionally serves as an associate lecturer and Scientific Director of Prostate Awareness Australia.
