El objetivo fue desarrollar un protocolo reproducible para aislar y mantener a largo plazo de cultivos de células humanas las papilas fungiformes gusto. Las células de las papilas fungiformes humana obtenidas por biopsia se mantuvieron con éxito en la cultura durante más de ocho pasos (12 meses) sin pérdida de viabilidad.
