Een protocol voor het synthetiseren van ~12 nm diameter gouden nanodeeltjes (Au nanodeeltjes) in een organisch oplosmiddel wordt gepresenteerd. De gouden nanodeeltjes zijn afgedekt met oleylamine liganden om agglomeratie te voorkomen. De gouden nanodeeltjes zijn oplosbaar in organische oplosmiddelen zoals tolueen.
