Hier wordt een geoptimaliseerd protocol gepresenteerd voor het kweken van geïsoleerde individuele nematoden op vaste media in microgefabriceerde multi-well-apparaten. Met deze aanpak kunnen individuele dieren gedurende hun hele leven worden gevolgd op een verscheidenheid aan fenotypen die verband houden met veroudering en gezondheid, waaronder activiteit, lichaamsgrootte en -vorm, bewegingsgeometrie en overleving.
