或者，玻片可以在真空箱中携带。将载玻片放入装有干燥剂的亵渎器中，将载玻片真空干燥 45 至 60 分钟。干燥后，如果不立即使用，请将载玻片放入载玻片转运车中，并在转运车中注入氮气。
用封口膜密封支架，然后将支架放入拉链袋中。然后将第一个拉链袋放入第二个贴有标签的拉链袋中，里面装有干燥剂，可在零下 80 摄氏度下存放长达六个月。脱水后，使用粗体银色标记在组织切片外的载玻片空白处放置 X 标记，并使用黑色细点标记在每个银色 X 的顶部放置第二个黑色 X。
在塑料盖上勾勒出样品位置，并将载玻片和 MALDI 目标放在平板扫描仪的表面上。然后预览幻灯片并选择所需的区域。以 16 位灰度扫描幻灯片，每英寸 2， 400 点，并保存图像以备后用。
要将基质涂抹到载玻片上，请打开自动基质喷涂装置，确保阀门位于负载处，然后启动喷涂软件。检查排气扇是否正常运行，并在 comms 选项卡下确认系统通信正确。以每分钟 100 微升的速度启动溶剂泵，背压约为 500 磅/平方英寸。
