Tidig upptäckt av apoptos kan identifiera i riskzonen cellpopulationer i en mängd olika sjukdomar. Här visar vi en metod för att koppla ett tidigt apoptos-upptäckt protein (Annexin V) till en MRI-detekterbart järnoxid nanopartiklar (SPIO). Denna metod kan utsträckas till andra proteiner av intresse för att generera MR-detekterbara molekylära avbildningssonder.
