We presenteren een uniek platform voor het karakteriseren van elektrode oppervlakken in vaste oxide brandstofcel (SOFC) die gelijktijdig uitvoeren van meerdere karakterisatietechnieken (laat<em> Bijv. in situ</em> Raman spectroscopie en scanning probe microscopie langs elektrochemische metingen). Aanvullende informatie uit deze analyses kunnen helpen om verder te gaan in de richting van een meer diepgaande kennis van elektrode reactie en degradatiemechanismen, het verstrekken van inzicht in rationeel ontwerp van betere materialen voor SOFCs.
Vaste oxide brandstofcel (SOFC) in potentie de meest efficiënte en kosteneffectieve oplossing voor het gebruik van een grote verscheidenheid aan brandstoffen dan waterstof 1-7. De prestaties van SOFCs en de tarieven van de vele chemische en energie transformatieprocessen in energie-opslag en-omzetting in het algemeen beperkt zijn in de eerste plaats door de lading en massa-overdracht langs elektrode oppervlakken en over interfaces. Helaas is de mechanistische begrip van deze processen nog onvoldoende, voornamelijk als gevolg van de moeilijkheid karakteriseren deze processen onder in situ-omstandigheden. Deze kennis kloof is een hoofd obstakel voor SOFC commercialisering. De ontwikkeling van instrumenten voor het sonderen en het in kaart brengen oppervlakchemie die relevant zijn voor elektrode reacties is van vitaal belang voor het ontrafelen van de mechanismen van het oppervlak processen en tot het bereiken van rationeel ontwerp van nieuwe elektrodematerialen voor een efficiëntere energie-opslag en conversie 2. Onder de relatief weinig in situ </ Em> oppervlakte-analyse methoden, kan Raman spectroscopie worden uitgevoerd, zelfs met hoge temperaturen en agressieve atmosfeer, waardoor het ideaal is voor het karakteriseren van chemische processen die relevant zijn voor SOFC anode prestaties en degradatie 8-12. Het kan ook gebruikt worden naast elektrochemische metingen, waardoor potentieel directe correlatie van elektrochemie aan Chemie Oppervlakte in een operatiekamer cel. Juiste in situ Raman mapping metingen zou nuttig zijn voor pin-wijzend belangrijk anode reactiemechanismen vanwege zijn gevoeligheid voor de betrokken soorten, met inbegrip van anode prestatievermindering door koolstofafzetting 8, 10, 13, 14 ("cokes") en zwavelvergiftiging 11, 15 en de wijze waarop oppervlakmodificaties wenden deze degradatie 16. De huidige werk toont aanzienlijke vooruitgang in de richting van deze mogelijkheid. Bovendien, de familie van scanning probe microscopie (SPM) technieken biedt een speciale benadering van de electro ondervragende oppervlakte met nanoschaal resolutie. Naast de oppervlaktetopografie die routinematig wordt verzameld door AFM en STM, kunnen andere eigenschappen zoals lokale elektronische toestanden, ion diffusiecoëfficiënt en oppervlaktepotentiaal worden onderzocht 17-22. In dit werk werden elektrochemische metingen, Raman spectroscopie, en SPM gebruikt in combinatie met een nieuwe testelektrode platform dat bestaat uit een Ni gaaselektrode ingebed in een yttriumoxide-gestabiliseerd zirkoniumoxide (YSZ) elektrolyt. Celprestatie testen en impedantie spectroscopie onder brandstof met H2S werd gekarakteriseerd en Raman mapping werd gebruikt om verder ophelderen van de aard van zwavelvergiftiging. In situ Raman controle werd gebruikt om cokesvorming gedrag. Tenslotte atomic force microscopie (AFM) en elektrostatische kracht microscopie (EFM) werden gebruikt om koolstofafzetting verder visualiseren op nanoschaal. Uit dit onderzoek, we verlangen naar een vollediger beeld van de SOFC anode produceren.
Zwavel Vergiftiging Analyse
De impedantiespectra figuur 5 blijkt dat zwavelvergiftiging een oppervlak of interface-fenomeen niet een die de bulk van het materiaal beïnvloedt. Bepaald zou de snelle vergiftiging van de Ni gaaselektrode (Figuur 6) als gevolg van de directe blootstelling van Ni elektrode brandstof gas en daaropvolgende adsorptie zwavel; gasdiffusie niet beperken de snelheid van dit proces zo veel als in het geval van een dikke poreuze Ni / YSZ ano…
