Die mikroskopische Beobachtung-Drug-Anfälligkeit (MODS) Test ist ein low-cost, low-tech Werkzeug für High-Performance-Nachweis von Tuberkulose (TB) und multiresistenter Tuberkulose (MDRTB). Dieses Video beschreibt die MODS flüssigen Medien Kultur-Methode.
Patienten mit aktiver Lungentuberkulose (TB) infiziert 10-15 anderen Personen pro Jahr, was die Diagnose einer aktiven TB unerlässlich, sowohl Heilung des Patienten und die Verhinderung neuer Infektionen. Darüber hinaus bedeutet die Entstehung von multiresistenten Tuberkulose (MDRTB), die Detektion von Resistenzen ist notwendig für die Ausbreitung von resistenten Stämmen. Die mikroskopische Beobachtung-Drug-Anfälligkeit (MODS) Test ist ein low-cost, low-tech Werkzeug für High-Performance-Nachweis von TB und MDRTB. Der MODS Test basiert auf drei Prinzipien: 1) Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) wächst schneller in flüssigen Medien als auf festen Medien 2) mikroskopische MTB Wachstum kann früher in flüssigen Medien als das Warten auf das makroskopische Aussehen der Kolonien auf festen Medien erkannt werden, und dass das Wachstum ist charakteristisch für MTB, so dass sie von atypischen Mykobakterien oder Pilz-oder Bakterienbefall 3) unterschieden werden die Medikamente Isoniazid und Rifampicin in den MODS Test kann aufgenommen werden, um für den gleichzeitigen direkten Nachweis von MDRTB ermöglichen, so dass kein Bedarf für Subkultur zu erfüllen eine indirekte Sensibilitätstest testen. Konkurrierende aktuelle Diagnostik zeichnen sich durch geringe Empfindlichkeit mit Sputum, lange Wartezeiten bis zur Diagnose mit festen Medien Kultur, prohibitiv hohen Kosten mit vorhandenen flüssigen Medien Kultur Methoden und die Notwendigkeit, Subkultur für indirekte Drogen Empfindlichkeitsprüfung zu MDRTB erkennen Sie behindert. Im Gegensatz dazu hat die nicht-proprietäre MODS-Methode eine hohe Empfindlichkeit für TB und MDRTB, ist eine relativ schnelle Kultur-Methode ermöglicht die gleichzeitige Medikament Empfindlichkeitsprüfung für MDRTB, und ist zugänglich mit beschränkten Ressourcen knapp 3 $ für den Test für TB und MDRTB.
Der MODS Test ist mit beschränkten Ressourcen angestrebt. Zum ersten Mal bringt MODS die Fähigkeit zur schnellen flüssigen Kultur Erkennung von Tuberkulose und multiresistenten Tuberkulose mit beschränkten Ressourcen knapp 3 $ pro Test. MODS ist ein nicht-proprietäres, iterative Methodik und die MODS-Community ist immer in Verbesserungen, die andere Labors haben es geschafft, interessiert.
