Menneskeskabte pluripotente stamceller (hiPSC)-afledte tarm organoider tilbyder spændende muligheder for at modellere enteriske sygdomme in vitro. Vi demonstrerer differentieringen af Hipsc'er i tarm organoider (iHOs), stimulering af disse iHOs med cytokiner og mikroinjektion af salmonella typhimurium i IHO-lumen, hvilket gør det muligt at studere en epitelial invasion af denne Patogen.
