Das vorliegende Protokoll beschreibt ein Lungenverletzungsmodell bei Mäusen, bei dem Ölsäure verwendet wird, um das akute Atemnotsyndrom (ARDS) nachzuahmen. Dieses Modell erhöht die Entzündungsmediatoren auf Ödeme und verringert die Lungencompliance.
