Usamos síncrotron tomografia de raios-X no Laboratório Europeu de Radiação Síncrotron (ESRF) para não-invasiva produzir conjuntos de dados 3D tomográficos com um pixel de resolução de 0.7μm. Usando software de renderização de volume, o que permite a reconstrução de estruturas internas em seu estado natural, sem os artefatos produzidos por corte histológico.
