Een procedure voor het maken en weergeven van capillaire bruggen in spleet-poriegeometrie wordt gepresenteerd. De creatie van capillaire bruggen is afhankelijk van de vorming van pilaren om een directionele fysische en chemische heterogeniteit te bieden om de vloeistof vast te pinnen. Capillaire bruggen worden gevormd en gemanipuleerd met behulp van microstages en gevisualiseerd met behulp van een CCD-camera.
