Nanopartiklar växer fram som lovande läkemedelstillförselsystem för ett brett spektrum av indikationer. Här beskriver vi en enkel men kraftfull metod för att tillverka silke nanopartiklar med användning av omvänd konstruerad Bombyx mori silke. Dessa silke nanopartiklar kan lätt laddas med en terapeutisk nyttolast och därefter undersökas för läkemedelsleveranstillämpningar.
