Dieser Bericht beschreibt Techniken zur Isolierung und Reinigung von sulfatierten Glykosaminoglykanen (GAGs) aus biologischen Proben und einen Polyacrylamid-Gelelektrophorese-Ansatz, um ihre Größe anzunähern. GAGs tragen zur Gewebestruktur bei und beeinflussen Signalprozesse durch elektrostatische Interaktion mit Proteinen. Die GAG-Polymerlänge trägt zu ihrer Bindungsaffinität für verwandte Liganden bei.
