In dit artikel beschrijven we een bruikbare methode om ligand-gated ionkanalen functie te bestuderen in neuronen van acuut geïsoleerd hersenen plakjes. Deze methode omvat het gebruik van een geneesmiddel gevulde micropipet voor lokale toepassing van geneesmiddelen voor neuronen opgenomen met standaard patch-clamp technieken.
