פרוטוקול זה מתאר שיטה יעילה להבחנה של hiPSCs לצברי שדות עיניים ויצירת אורגנואידים נוירו-רשתית באמצעות תנאי תרבית פשוטים המערבים הן מערכות תרבית הדבקה והן מערכת תרבית תלייה. סוגים אחרים של תאי עין, כגון RPE ואפיתל הקרנית, יכולים גם הם להיות מבודדים משדות עיניים בוגרים בתרביות רשתית.
