Probe-based confocale laser endomicroscopy maakt real-time microscopie van de menselijke urinewegen tijdens cystoscopie, het verstrekken van dynamische, intravitale beeldvorming van pathologische toestanden, zoals blaaskanker met cellulaire resolutie. Endomicroscopy kan vergroten de diagnostische nauwkeurigheid van standaard wit licht endoscopie en zorgen voor intraoperatieve beeld leidraad voor chirurgische resectie te verbeteren.
