Kv-kanal dysfunktion er forbundet med hjertearytmier. For at undersøge de molekylære mekanismer, der fører til sådanne arytmier vi benytter en systematisk protokol til isolering af atriale og ventrikulære kardiomyocytter fra Kv channel accessoriske subunit-knockout-mus. Isolerede cardiomyocytter kan derefter straks anvendes til cellulære elektrofysiologiske undersøgelser, biokemiske eller immunofluorescens (IF)-assays.
