Lipidler hücresel fonksiyonlarda önemli rol oynadıkları bilinmektedir. Burada, nötrofil hücre dışı tuzak oluşumunun altında yatan mekanizmaların daha iyi anlaşılması için HPTLC ve HPLC birlikte kullanarak, kolesterol seviyesi üzerinde durularak, nötrofillerin lipit bileşimini belirlemek için bir yöntem açıklanmaktadır.
