Hier presenteren we een protocol zodat nauwkeurige kwantificering van mitochondriale methylation van DNA (mtDNA). In dit protocol beschrijven we een enzymatische spijsvertering van DNA met BamHI in combinatie met een bioinformatic analyse pijpleiding die kan worden gebruikt om te voorkomen dat overschatting van mtDNA methylering niveaus veroorzaakt door de secundaire structuur van mtDNA.
