Lo scopo di questo metodo è quello di ottenere matrici 3D derivate dal fibroblasto come scaffold naturale per i successivi saggi cellulari. I fibroblasti vengono semiizzati in una piastra di coltura pretrattata e stimolati con acido ascorbico per la generazione di matrici. Le matrici vengono decellularizzate e bloccate alle cellule rilevanti di coltura (ad esempio, cellule endoteliali).
