Den presenterte fremgangsmåte tilbyr en måte å detektere funksjonelle effektive cardiotropic autoantistoffer i plasma av pasienter med dilatert kardiomyopati, uavhengig av den spesifikke antigen, ved å analysere effekten av isolert pasient immunoglobulin på cellulære matfett og intracellulære kalsium transienter i isolerte rotte cardiomyocytes.
