Este estudio describe el monitoreo microscópico de la adherencia del neumococo a las cadenas del factor von Willebrand producidas en la superficie de células endoteliales primarias humanas diferenciadas bajo tensión de cizallamiento en condiciones de flujo definidas. Este protocolo se puede extender a la visualización detallada de estructuras celulares específicas y cuantificación de bacterias mediante la aplicación de procedimientos de inmunoinso diferencial.
