Krebs ist eine komplexe Erkrankung, die durch den den Tumor umgebenden Gewebes sowie lokale pro- und anti-inflammatorischen Mediatoren beeinflusst wird. Daher kann orthotrope Pritzer, anstatt subkutanen Modellen nützlich sein, um Krebsprogression in einer Weise, dass eine bessere ahmt menschlichen Pathologie studieren.
