Summary

Beschrijven we een protocol voor visualisatie van insuline exocytose in intact eilandjes met behulp van pHluorin, een pH-gevoelige groen fluorescent proteïne. Geïsoleerde eilandjes zijn besmet met adenovirus codering pHluorin gekoppeld aan het blaasje lading neuropeptide Y. Dit zorgt voor de detectie van insuline submodule fusion gebeurtenissen door confocale microscopie.
